A video making the rounds on social media has captured a pair of pigs fighting off a black bear who climbed into their fenced enclosure in New Milford, Connecticut.
Ring security video showed the bear climbing into the pen and going after a white pig named Mary. Mary ran at the bear, who momentarily backed off.
Then the second pig, Hammy, who had been inside of a covered shelter, charges at the bear, who backs up into the corner of the pen and goes up on his hind legs.
After a few moments, the bear climbs out of the pen.
Rebecca Shaw owns the pigs, which she says are therapy pigs.
“I am very proud of them because Hammy, the little one especially, he’s afraid of his own shadow and the way he came charging out when he seen Mary tussling with the bear,” Shaw told the TV station. “He was like ‘oh no, no way, get out.’”
