MILWAUKEE — A 15-year-old has died and five women were injured in a shooting in Milwaukee Monday night.
The Milwaukee Police Department said the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the 15-year-old boy as Davion Patterson, according to The Associated Press. Patterson was declared dead at the scene.
According to police, five women between the ages of 18 and 22 were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, the AP reported.
Jacqueline Moore told WTMJ that her daughter was shot and killed in the same area around three years ago. She was 16 years old.
“15 or 14 years old, it doesn’t matter it was still a child,” Moore said to the news outlet. “Somebody lost their baby again. Another Black parent has to bury their baby.”
Investigators are looking into the circumstances leading up to the shooting, according to WISN. Information about a suspect or suspects has not yet been released.
