The event will be held at the Nashville Fairgrounds on an independent card, ESPN reported.
It will be part of an event associated with a fan convention in Nashville the day after WWE’s SummerSlam, according to CBS Sports.
Flair has not wrestled in a match since 2011, CBS Sports reported.
He has retired from wrestling several times and had last returned to the ring in 2011 when he tore his triceps in a match against Sting.
Who Flair will be wrestling against has not been announced yet, but Sports Illustrated said he may team up with AEW’s FTR against The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express in a six-man tag team match.
Flair has been inducted into the WWE Hall of fame once — in 2008 as an individual and in 2012 as a member of the Four Horsemen.
The Nature Boy has had some medical challenges.
In 2017, he was on life support for 10 days after he had complications from a bowel obstruction, according to Sports Illustrated.
He also has a heart condition according to CBS Sports.
