Sterling Skye Mahomes is just a newborn, but apparently, she’s already fielding offers to kick off her athletic career.
According to KCBD and Sports Illustrated, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his fiancée, former soccer player and personal trainer Brittany Matthews, recently received a letter of intent from her father’s alma mater, Texas Tech University.
“This is to certify that Sterling Skye Mahomes will be recommended by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Texas Tech University to receive a soccer scholarship. Congratulations!” read the letter, dated Feb. 22.
Sterling Mahomes is less than a month old. She got a national letter of intent for soccer scholarship offer from Texas Tech 2 days after she was born.

Sterling was born Feb. 20, the news outlets reported.
According to KCBD, Matthews shared an image of the letter via Instagram Stories with the caption, “She’s ready.”
The news outlet added that the university frequently sends similar letters to babies and children as a “cute gesture,” so the offer may not be serious.
