People reported that Brooks wore two gowns during her ceremony at Miami’s Alfred DuPont Building – one by Christian Siriano and another from Oluwagbemisola Okunlola’s Alonuko label.
“I feel like when it comes to the wedding process, Black creatives aren’t highlighted enough,” Brooks told Vogue of the latter. “Alonuko gave me the dress of my dreams.”
The newlyweds dated for 2 1/2 years before Gelin proposed in the last week of 2019, according to People. They share a 2-year-old daughter, Freeya, who was their flower girl, the magazine reported.
