Now, Nike is bringing Adapt, its real power-lacing technology, to its Air Jordan brand.

In 1994, famed Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield started designing the Air Jordan 11. The shoes had several unique design features including laceless technology. The model is Michael Jordan’s favorite. He famously wore the shoes during the 1995 NBA playoffs when he returned to the league after a brief retirement earlier that season.

After 25 years, the shoes will realize that original design cue.

“Where the Air Jordan 11 Jubilee celebrates the rich history of the Air Jordan 11, the Adapt iteration takes the silhouette into Jordan Brand’s future,” Martin Lotti, Jordan brand vice president and chief design officer, said in a statement. “By folding in the best of Nike technology, we’ve delivered on Tinker’s original vision of the Air Jordan 11, while simultaneously offering wearers the most personalized Jumpman shoes to date.”

The Nike Adapt technology is paired with the brand’s app which allows the user to personalize accompanying items including foot and sportswear. For the Air Jordan 11, users can choose their own color scheme and flashing pattern of the lights on the shoes.

The Air Jordan 11 Jubilee will be released Dec. 12, and the Air Jordan Adapt on Dec. 30.

There’s still no word on when a self-drying jacket Marty McFly wore will be coming out, though.
