The venerable country music venue in Nashville, Tennessee, announced that it will open to full capacity for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, WSMV reported.

The first day of full capacity will be May 14, officials said. That means the Grand Ole Opry House will seat more than 4,000 fans, The Tennessean reported. Masks will still be mandatory for guests and staff, the newspaper reported.

The pandemic forced the show to go on without a live audience starting in March 2020. Since October, the Opry has had a masked, distanced audience and has slowly increased its capacity, according to The Tennessean.

The May 14 show will be headlined by Opry members Lorrie Morgan and the Oak Ridge Boys, WTVF reported. Lady A will perform on the May 15 show, along with Morgan and Hurd, The Tennessean reported.

Opry officials said the venue will continue to follow enhanced COVID-19 health and safety protocols throughout spring, WTVF reported.
