LOS ANGELES — Rapper-record producer Dr. Dre was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Monday after reportedly suffering a brain aneurysm, according to several media outlets.

The music mogul, 55, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, was in stable condition on Tuesday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

The rapper issued a statement Tuesday night, Variety reported.

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” Dre said through a spokesperson. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”

It is not immediately clear what caused the rapper’s condition.

As a musician, Dr. Dre has won seven Grammy Awards. He won best R&B album honors in 2019 for “Ventura,” and in 2009 he won a pair of Grammys: Best rap album, “Relapse”; and best rap performance by a duo or group, “Crack A Bottle.”

In 2000, Dr. Dre won best rap performance by a duo of group for “Forgot About One,” and best rap album for “The Marshall Mathers LP.” He also took producer of the year honors in the non-classical category.

He also won best rap solo performance in 1993 for “Let Me Ride.”

Dr. Dre has had 26 Grammy nominations during his career.

Dr. Dre’s other hits include “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” and “Forgot About Dre.” Variety reported.

As a producer, Dr. Dre has worked with Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent, the website reported.
