If your name is Kyle, you have a mission — to get to the City of Kyle in Texas to help the community to break a world record.
City officials want to get into the Guinness World Record archive for having the largest gathering of people with the same name, KVUE reported.
You have a bit of time to get the travel plans set as it will be part of May’s Kyle Fair Tex-Travaganza.
The event happens at 4 p.m. on May 21, KXAN reported.
“In order to break this record, we’re calling for any and all Kyle’s. We need tall Kyle’s, short Kyle’s, young Kyle’s and old Kyle’s to get close to the record set five years ago,” City of Kyle Special Events Manager Claudia Rocha told KVUE. “We’re very excited about the upcoming, inaugural Kyle Fair and have high hopes that this event will bring out the Kyles needed to grab a spot in the record books.”
Guinness World Records says the current record holder is Kupreski Kosci (Bosnia and Herzegovina) which won the title on July 30, 2017, when 2,325 Ivans gathered.
The Kyle Fair has no entrance fee but carnival rides will run $2 each ride or $25 for a daily wristband, KFDM reported. And those who participate in trying to break the world record will get a free shirt.
This is the fourth time the city has tried to break the world record, KXAN reported.
