JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Neighbors on Allendale Circle North are waking up to a deadly shooting.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a 46-year-old man was discovered at 11:10 p.m. Thursday with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they responded to calls of people hearing gunfire in the area.
No suspects are in question and police are actively looking for witnesses.
Within in the last four weeks, there have been 25 crimes within a mile radius of where the shooting took place. About half of the calls were linked to stolen property.
