19-year-old arrested following road rage incident in St. Johns County

Jacksonville, FL — Thankfully, no one was hurt, but a road rage incident in St. Johns County could have been much worse.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office has arrested Cyrus Nelson, 19, of Palm Coast, on multiple charges, including reckless driving, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and firing a firearm from a vehicle.

That's after deputies say Nelson fired one shot at another car on I-95.

He was later spotted by a deputy at the intersection of US 1 and County Road 204 traveling at 'an extremely high rate of speed' and even swerving into the grass and oncoming traffic to pass other vehicles.

Nelson was eventually arrested off of US 1, where he reportedly told a deputy he was only 'firing a warning shot.'
