Jacksonville, FL — A woman is hospitalized with a leg injury sustained during a morning fire on Jacksonville’s Westside.
JFRD was able to knock down the fire quickly at the home on W. 5th Street near Edgewood Avenue. The cause is under investigation.
According to firefighters, four children were also inside the home when the fire started, they are between the ages of 2 and 16. A family dog was also able to get out.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family while they are without a place to stay.
