Jacksonville, FL — The man believed to be responsible for a Westside bank robbery has been caught, and faces two additional counts of armed robbery.
Jacksonville police released a suspect photo earlier this week, after a suspect gave a note to a teller at a Wells Fargo on Blanding Blvd, demanding money. The note said the suspect had a gun, but police say no weapon was shown. The teller gave the suspect cash, and he then fled on a bicycle.
JSO has now identified that suspect as Gary Lucas. We’re told he was located at a hotel and taken in to custody without incident. He’s charged with bank robbery and two counts of armed robbery for incidents at a Walgreens and a CVS.
We’re working to get more details about the arrest and other crimes he’s now charged with.
