Jacksonville, FL — If you are a regular listener you have noticed the absence of Jamie Dupree, our long-serving Washington correspondent. Jamie lost his ability to communicate on the radio, and more importantly with his family, in the middle of 2016.
Jamie has a rare condition, Tongue Protrusion Dystonia, which prevents him from stringing together sentences, let alone multiple words.
Despite losing his ability to speak on the radio, Jamie continues to grind away every single day and many weekends to keep his audience up to date on the big issues in Washington.
And at the station level, Jamie continues to write stories, send audio from local Representatives and Senators, and help provide clarity to stories given his more than 30-years of experience.
Jamie’s professionalism helps our news team deliver factual stories on multiple platforms: radio, web, and social.
