JACKSONVILLE, FL — No tricks here: The warming trend from the second half of the weekend continues into the new work week and stays for any Halloween festivities Monday night.
The weather is going to be pretty nice, but Action News Jax Meteorologist Corey Simma says it won’t really feel like Fall. Daytime highs will be back into the low 80s with a threat of a few showers and isolated storms north of I-10 today, but it will be very hit and miss.
The good news is trick-or-treating tonight should be dry with a partly cloudy sky. A few areas of fog will develop tonight.
Come Tuesday it’ll stay dry and above average with highs in the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies.
An onshore wind continues, keeping the rip current risk high at area beaches. We’ll remain in the 80s until we see a slight cooldown later in the week.
In the tropics: A tropical disturbance in the Central Caribbean is expected to become a tropical storm today. The current forecasts take this system into Central America and it’s not a threat for the U.S.
