NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — As Nassau County reaches the final stages of amendment preparation for the County’s Comprehensive Plan for the Vision 2050 initiative, the county is urging the community to provide their input.

The planning process, as well as the resulting policies, will be critical for the ability to promote and manage growth as well as protect and enhance key areas of importance while accommodating future trends.
Information collected thus far led to the establishment of community-building blocks, a framework to achieve the community-identified goals. The information collected has also led to the creation of 3 different growth scenarios.
Residents are now urged to view the growth framework presentation and provide input on the 3 growth scenarios. One final preferred growth scenario will be created and included in the Nassau Vision 2050 plan.
This preferred scenario will inform updates to the County’s Future Land Use Map (FLUM) and the Future Land Use Element of the County’s state-mandated Comprehensive Plan.
