PHOTOS: Man who went missing offshore in St. Augustine Friday found safe

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Update: Charles Gregory was found this morning offshore in St. Augustine.

According to U.S. Coast Guard Southeast, he was found fatigued but safe.

He was taken to the hospital by EMS services in Villano Beach.

Long road to recovery With severe sunburns all over his body, being severely dehydrated, and having paper-like, wrinkled skin, Charles has a grueling road to recovery ahead.

Rescued at sea Charles Gregory had been missing for 30 hours after a tide carried his Jon boat out to sea off the shore of St. Augustine Thursday night.

Losing hope Raymond Gregory, Charles' father, told Action News Jax there was even a point during the search where he and his wife had begun to lose hope.

Boater rescued The Coast Guard rescued 25-year-old Charles Gregory 12 miles off St. Augustine, Florida, on Saturday morning after he went missing on a 12-foot flat-bottomed boat.

The U.S. Coast Guard, St. Augustine Police Department and other partner agencies are searching for 25-year-old Charles Gregory.

Gregory was last seen leaving the Lighthouse Park Boat Ramp on a 12-foot jon boat Thursday night. The SAPD said that he might also be in the Salt Run area.
