The endowment will “aim to strengthen UNF’s commitment to leadership excellence through innovative programs, faculty support, and student engagement opportunities”.

The endowment also comes in recognition of the work done by Dr. Matthew Olson, who leads the Taylor Leadership Institute and Collegiate Achievement Mentoring Program (CAMP) Osprey.

The Warren and Augusta Hume Foundation Endowed Professorship in Leadership will serve as the cornerstone of this gift, which will fund faculty leadership initiatives, including recruitment efforts, research, professional conferences, and faculty development opportunities.

Complementing this, the Hume Foundation Excellence in Leadership Fund will support critical leadership programs such as the Taylor Leadership Institute, CAMP Osprey, and leadership initiatives within UNF Athletics.

The gift will also allow CAMP Osprey to serve nearly 800 additional collegiate and k-12 prospective students. A portion of the gift will further advance leadership programming throughout the University.
