An unarmed security guard is shot dead at the McDonald's on JTB and Philips Highway.
We are told by Jacksonville police the unarmed female security guard was shot dead inside her truck about 20 minutes before her shift was supposed to end.
Sgt. Shawn Coarsey says detectives will attempt to use video surveillance from the area to piece together a suspect description.
Coarsey says the woman was a roving security guard and McDonald's was not one of her spots.
She had not made it through the drive-thru when she was shot at least once in the upper body.
The woman's name has not been released. Police say this could have been a robbery but a motive was not immediately clear.
