Two Raines High School students injured near campus

Two Raines High School students have been taken to the hospital.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirms the students should have been in school, when they were instead involved in an unspecified altercation near the campus. Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

A Duval County Public Schools Spokeswoman tells WOKV there were actually three students involved in the altercation, but only two required transport to the hospital. The students showed up at the school to get help, and the School Resource Officer contacted Rescue.

Because the incident happened off school ground, JSO is the lead in the investigation. We’re working to gather more details from them.

School operations were not affected.

This story will be updated through the afternoon.
