Jacksonville, FL — Weeks after an arrest warrant revealed multiple gunmen were allegedly involved in a fatal shooting at Jacksonville Beach, as Fourth of July festivities were wrapping up, police are now announcing two more arrests.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department says Kejuan Jones, 16, and Darius Jackson, 17, are both charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of Glen McNeil, Jr., 23, in the early morning hours of July 5th. The two are also charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.
These two make three total arrests in the case, as Javoris Price, 18, was arrested earlier this month for the same charges.
According to Price's arrest warrant, witnesses spotted Price and a few other people get into a physical altercation with McNeil, stealing his necklace in the process. When McNeil tried to confront them about it, that's when witnesses say multiple people opened fire on McNeil, killing him.
Jacksonville Beach police say there are no additional outstanding suspects in the case. They say the focus now is working with the State Attorney's Office in hopes of bringing about a successful prosecution.
