Conditions aren’t favorable for development, but Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking a tropical disturbance in the eastern Caribbean that is expected to get close to Florida.
“This won’t be too far from Florida by late in the week and should enhance the showers and thunderstorms potentially and there is some chance for development, but more than likely it would be to the north and east of Jacksonville as the system moves away.” Mike says.
As far as Monday goes, today should be the sixth day in a row where temperatures don’t get above 90 degrees as we’ll get into the mid-to-upper 80’s this afternoon. Mike says showers are going to become more widely scattered through Wednesday, so expect temps to go up.
LOOKING AHEAD: We will see increased tropical moisture this weekend thanks to a tropical wave. In terms of tropical development... that appears to be a low threat as of now. We will watch. #FirstAlertWX pic.twitter.com/HZqYaSmIfn
