Tropical moisture remains in place as Fred moves away

Jacksonville, Fl — Tropical moisture will remain in place today providing a chance of scattered showers and a few heavy downpours. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s to near 90 closer to the St. Johns River Basin.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says scattered storms continue tomorrow with highs about 90 degrees.

The storm coverage lightens up by Friday and into the weekend.

TROPICS: Fred is now moving into Central Georgia as a Tropical Depression. Heavy rain will move north with it into the Atlanta metro today.

Grace is a tropical storm that will move over the Caribbean and into the Yucatan Peninsula Wednesday night. Grace could become a hurricane over the Bay of Campeche before moving into Eastern Mexico.

Tropical storm Henri will meander out in the Atlantic and not bother us.
