Jacksonville, FL — Expect to see and feel tropical conditions today and through the weekend. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says a pattern change will usher in periods of heavy rain and storms.
“The tendency is for the most widespread showers and thunderstorms to favor coastal areas and the beaches overnight into the morning hours, more inland as we get into the middle of the day and afternoon/early evening. There will be a threat for rain just about any time of the day”, Buresh said.
Total rainfall across the area may be several inches by Sunday night.
Be sure to update the WOKV app on your phone, where you can customize severe weather alerts and stay ahead of the storms throughout the weekend.
