Jacksonville, Fl — Our pattern of on again, off again showers and tropical downpours is showing no signs of relaxing. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says you can expect times of heavy showers and a few lightning strikes today.
Rain will be off-and-on but heavy where it falls. Sunshine when it’s not raining.
A similar weather pattern lingers through the weekend with on-shore winds and the threat for scattered showers.

TROPICS: Low pressure between Florida and Bermuda tracks toward the Carolina coast the next few days. Regardless of tropical development, this won’t impact our weather.
Tropical Storm Paulette is out in the middle of nowhere Atlantic, staying out to sea. Rene is now a Depression but will re-strengthen as it curves out to the open ocean.
Another wave hasn’t left the coast of Africa yet, will be the one to watch over the coming days/week.
