Trio of teens arrested for July murder

Jacksonville, FL — Two more suspects have been arrested in connection to the murder of 21-year-old Richard Green, bringing the total to three 19-year-olds arrested for the crime.

We first told you in July about the murder, which happened on Monaco Drive. JSO says Green was found in a vehicle with a gunshot wound. They determined he had been shot during a planned robbery by two people, in which one of the suspects fatally shot the victim.

Patrick Steadman was arrested about a week later. Police identified him as the shooter in this case.

Now, JSO says 19-year-old Ashanti Rodgers and 19-year-old Cameron McIntyre have also been arrested. Police say Rogers was picked up Wednesday. She’s accused of driving the two other suspects around that day while knowing about their robbery plan. Police say Rodgers also drove the suspects to the robbery scene and waited for them to return, and knew a man had been fatally shot during the robbery attempt itself.

McIntyre was arrested Thursday, identified as the second person involved in the robbery attempt. Police say he was there when Steadman killed the victim. McIntyre was arrested in Daytona Beach and booked in to the Volusia County Jail.
