Jacksonville, FL — Get ready for a change on your drive through the southside.
Traffic has shifted to the right on the East Beltway north past Gate Parkway during the early hours Tuesday. WOKV first told you about the shift last Friday and updated the progress Monday. The Florida Department of Transportation says traffic will now go to the right past Gate Parkway and will head underneath the new ramp to JTB which is currently under construction. FDOT says now that this shift is in place, this will be the final configuration for the roadway.
The shift is part of the greater project on East Beltway to add new tolled express lanes from JTB to State Road 9-B. FDOT tells us construction on the East Beltway is expected to be done by this summer.
Get ready for a change on your drive through the southside on the East Beltway north. Lanes have shifted to the right past Gate Parkway while you were asleep. Traffic updates every six minutes @WOKVNews
