Tickets for THE PLAYERS sold out

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Tickets for the Players Championship sold out in less than 30 minutes on Tuesday morning. There were a limited number of tickets available for the Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds, as of midday Tuesday.

TICKETS, PARKING, SCHEDULE

The tournament will take place March 9 through March 14 with new health safety protocols. Masks will be worn at all times, cash will not be accepted, and there will be digital tickets and digital parking passes. Executive Director Jared Rice announced in January that the goal this year was to have 20 percent max capacity.

“So we’re going to have about 20 percent of what is our normal capacity, so obviously a fairly healthy reduction, but we feel like this is gives us an opportunity to execute the tournament safely and to consider not only that our players and caddies, but also our volunteers and fans,” Rice said. “You know, consider 12 hours of golf, one hundred and fifty acres of grass out there to be to be walked and enjoyed outside. That’s a formula that gives us the chance to, again, be responsible and still enjoy the tournament.”

There was a limit to how many tickets one person could purchase. Two tickets per day per account, and Ticketmaster only allows for check out of one day at a time. Complimentary admission will be provided to active duty, retired, reserve, and National Guard members and one dependent on Tuesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 10. Valid identification and credentials are required. Veterans with valid identification will receive discounted admission on Tuesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 10. Kids ages 15 and under, are also admitted free with a ticketed adult on Tuesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 10.
