The new home of the Jacksonville Jaguars: TIAA Bank Field

Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Jaguars will no longer play at EverBank Field.

WOKV first told you last month that, following TIAA's acquisition of EverBank, the company had asked to change the name of the stadium to TIAA Bank Field. They're assuming the naming rights of the facility, which allows for a name change, as long at the City and the Jaguars agree.

The Jags have already approved the change, and now, the City Council has voted in favor as well. A City Spokeswoman tells WOKV she has no reason to believe the Mayor would strike it down.

EverBank tells WOKV the new signage will be in place ahead of the next NFL season. There are no renderings of the new sign at this time, but we’re told more will be unveiled during the Jags’ State of the Franchise next month.

The naming rights agreement says the company- which will be operating as TIAA Bank- is solely responsible for all costs that are incurred by any party as a result of the name change. The expected fiscal impact on the City, therefore, is nothing.

The City Council approved the change by an 18-0 vote, with Councilman Greg Anderson abstaining because he’s an employee of TIAA Bank. The naming rights agreement lasts through February 28, 2025.
