Teenager pleads guilty in 2015 robbery, murder of St. Augustine store clerk

Jacksonville, FL — Two years after a brutal attack on a St. Augustine store clerk, a second suspect in his murder has pleaded guilty.

18-year-old Andre Robinson Jr. is facing between 15 and 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter and robbery.

Robinson was arrested for the shooting death of 29-year-old Malav Desai at the Tobacco and Beverage Express on Masters Drive.

Another teenager, Sergio Morgan-Wideman, was convicted of first-degree murder in March.  Morgan-Wideman was 15-years-old at the time.

Both suspects fled the scene of the robbery and led police on a car chase through Hastings, Palatka, and Green Cove Springs, where they were taken into custody.
