Jacksonville, FL — The teenager accused of killing his grandmother and burying her body in a shallow grave at his father’s Neptune Beach home has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Logan Mott is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Grand Theft Auto. His grandmother, Kristina French, was found buried in a shallow grave in late November.
Prosecutors say Mott, 15, stabbed and shot French. He was arrested in Buffalo, New York, while attempting to cross in to Canada.
Logan's father and girlfriend returned home from a vacation on Nov. 22 and were not picked up at the airport by French as previously discussed. They took an Uber to Logan's father's Neptune Beach home and found it was ransacked and guns were taken from the gun safe.
Authorities announced that they had found what was likely French's body in a shallow grave in the backyard of the Neptune Beach home.
