Teen arrested for punching girl outside of Jacksonville Fair

An 18-year-old has been arrested for allegedly punching a girl in the back of the head just outside of the Jacksonville Fair.

The arrest report for Aumarri Cohen says police were trying to break up a fight near the Fairgrounds Saturday night when they saw Cohen run up and hit the victim in the back of the head with a closed fist, causing her to fall down. The victim told police she did not know Cohen or why he would hit her. The report says the victim is under 18-years-old.

Cohen made brief statements to police, but those have been redacted from the report.

He’s been arrested for a felony count of child abuse.
