A Duval County teacher is admitting she had sex with a student.
23-year-old Danielle Reed - a teacher at Atlantic Coast High School - was sentenced today to five years probation, and is not allowed to have any contact with the victim. She'll also have to find a new line of work - the judge ordered Reed never be allowed to teach again and must be supervised when around children.
During the investigation, Jacksonville Police also noted Reed tricked her victim's parents into allowing him to spend the night at her house. Officials were able to interview the child and get the full background on their months-long relationship. This occured during Reed's first year as a teacher.
She won't be classified as a sex offender because her charges were reduced to child abuse.
