Suspended Baldwin Middle/High School Student had 2 rifles in car

We are getting a better look at the details from the suspension of a Baldwin Middle/High School student. Duval School Police say 17-year-old Cole Gidcumb has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duval School Police say around 12:40  Monday they were tipped off by a dean at the school that Gidcumb had a gun in his car in the student parking lot. Police say when they got to Gidcumb's car they could see a Ruger 22 caliber rifle in the passenger seat of his Black Mustang.

Once police were able to search the car, Police say they could smell pot and they found a small amount in a plastic baggy inside of an ammunition box in the floorboard of the car. Police say they also found two plastic water bottles made into marijuana pipes.

Police say they found 297 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition scattered through out the car, including 3 rounds in the rifle. But police say there was not a round in the chamber. Police say they found another rifle in the trunk of Gidcumb’s car. Police say that rifle did not have any rounds loaded in the chamber.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
