Jacksonville, FL — No students were injured in a Thursday morning crash on Atlantic Boulevard, near Kernan, however, the driver of the car that collided with the bus died.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s crash report, 63-year-old Brenda Snodgrass was on Atlantic Boulevard approaching Withrow Drive at around 8:17 AM, when she failed to stop at a red light. Troopers say she then hit the bus and continued across the center median of Atlantic, hitting other vehicles. FHP says Snodgrass died on scene; none of the other three drivers involved were hurt.
Seven students were on board the bus at the time of the crash, according to FHP.
The students were from Sabal Palm and Waterleaf Elementary School, according to the Duval County Public Schools.
