St Johns deputies searching for suspect who punched elderly man in Nocatee

St Johns County, FL — The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a young man who punched an elderly man in the head Saturday morning in Nocatee.

Around 10:30 am, deputies say the elderly victim approached the suspect, believed to be in his 20s, regarding a flag he had on his golf cart that contained profanity. The victim asked the suspect to remove the flags since there were children in the area.

The suspect then punched the victim in the head, knocking him to the ground, before taking off in his golf cart.
