ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Johns County Professional Firefighters shared an exciting update with Action News Jax on Tuesday.
We first told you earlier this month about the rescue team’s efforts to help their fellow firefighters in Ukraine by donating gear and equipment.

Since then, they told us they received an overwhelming amount of food items, hygiene supplies, diapers, clothes and more.
Other companies have also reached out to them and donated supplies. Bound Tree Medical donated medical supplies, Callahan Volunteer Fire Department provided protective firefighter gear and the Home Depot of St. Augustine gave them packing supplies.
Now the St. Johns County Professional Firefighters are preparing to transport all the items they received to The Rotary Club of Jacksonville Thursday to be shipped to Ukraine.
We will keep you updated on their efforts online and on-air.
