Earlier today, SJCSO notified citizens of an escaped inmate from one of their work squads. Within one hour, he was successfully apprehended in a nearby neighborhood and taken back into custody.

Sheriff Hardwick had this to say:

From our partner agency’s immediate response to assist and our residents who contacted the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office to provide critical information, this incident was a team effort that resulted in a rapid apprehension of Inmate Kuts.”
“Nice try, Kuts, but not happening in St. Johns County. This type of behavior will not be tolerated.”
SJCSO states that additional charges will be forthcoming.
