SJSO: Driver found in Flagler Estates hit and run

Hastings, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released new information Sunday morning about a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a teenage boy.

Action News Jax told you on Friday when the boy was hit by a vehicle as he walked to the school bus stop on Palatka Boulevard in Flagler Estates.

His bus pickup time was 6:08 a.m. A passerby found the boy lying on the side of the road at 6:45 a.m.

He was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

On Sunday, deputies revealed they had found the vehicle involved and interviewed the driver.
