A few new precautionary boil water advisories are now in effect in St. Johns County.
Overall, the County says fewer than 1,500 customers are affected, although a water main break in St. Augustine is still being assessed in terms of its expected impact.
The St. Johns County Utility Department has now issued precautionary boil water advisories for 101-132 Old Ponte Vedra Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach and 1900-1945 Abercrombie Lane in the Walden Chase neighborhood. Fewer than 50 customers are affected.
St. Augustine’s Public Works Department has successfully isolated a water main break on San Marco Avenue. When water service is restored, customers in the area bordered by Old Mission Avenue, US 1, Sanchez Avenue, and the Matanzas River will be under a boil water notice.
You should boil water for one minute if you plan to use it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. The advisories will be in effect until testing determines the water is safe.
