A “lockout” means students who left school earlier cannot return.

Below is the full message from Ledford to families:

“Hello Fletcher High School families, this is Principal Ledford. I want to make you aware that we are operating in a lockout posture today in abundance of caution. Earlier today, a threat to conduct a shooting at the school was found written on toilet paper in one of the restrooms. I am thankful for the students who found this and reported it to us.  In addition to operating in lockout, we will also have an additional police presence at the school. Again, I appreciate those who made us aware of this threat and our school police for their support. It takes all of us to maintain a safe community, and I appreciate your support of our school as well. Thanks again. Good-bye.”
