Jacksonville, FL — It's unsettling for parents and students.

An investigation is underway after a reported threat was made at Yulee High School, centered around a pep rally that was scheduled for Friday afternoon.

WOKV reached out to Nassau County Public Schools spokesman Mark Durham, after getting a call from a concerned parent.

He tells us the threat was determined not to be credible, after investigators spoke with the student who made the threat. Durham says the student responsible said they were only joking and that they didn't mean to scare or upset anyone.

However, due to concerns from both parents and students that pep rally has since been canceled.

We're told the student will face appropriate discipline, though, due to the ongoing investigation, it's not clear if that means actual charges or discipline within the school itself.
