Putnam County nonprofit needs donations for cold weather shelter

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Putnam County Caring Coalition is offering a temporary overnight safe space for those in need on Monday night.

The cold weather shelter will be open from 7 p.m. on Monday to 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Donations are urgently needed.

The nonprofit said it needs new or gently used sleeping bags, breakfast bars, protein bars, individual snack items, coffee, and powdered creamer.

Donations can be dropped off at the First Presbyterian Church office. it’s located at 123 S. 2nd Street in Palatka.
