Polls are open - Will it be close?

63,198 voters have cast a ballot either by voting early or by absentee, which Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland said could help push turnout to between 35 and 40 percent.  On Jacksonville's Morning News, Holland said less than 1,000 votes separate Republicans from Democrats.

That doesn't necessarily mean Republican Mike Hogan or Democrat Alvin Brown would be leading in early voting, but the March primary was extremely partisan.

After the polls close, Brown will be at the Hyatt downtown, and Hogan will be at his campaign headquarters at Timaquana and Roosevelt blvd.

WOKV will have special election coverage beginning at 7, and going until we declare a winner in the big races.
