The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an armed robbery early Monday morning at a Southside McDonald’s.
The incident occurred at the fast-food restaurant along Baymeadows Road near I-95. JSO does not have a person in custody, but said no one was hurt.
“I came here and I was surprised to see ropes (and) police everywhere…” said Cybil Wilkes. “Today is the last day for a free cup of coffee but I guess I won't be getting my cup here…”
