JACKSONVILLE, FL. — We continue with our summertime heat and the occasional afternoon storm.
Action News Jax Meteorologist Alyssa Pejic says for Monday we’ll have mostly sunny skies with high temperatures making it back into the lower 90s. The beaches will be in the upper 80s.
Feels-like temperatures will top out near 100 degrees. We can’t rule out a few isolated showers and storms later this afternoon. They’ll mainly develop west of St. Johns River after 4 p.m. and move inland with time. Only an isolated sea breeze shower or storm will develop each afternoon.
We’ll have mostly clear skies tonight with temperatures only dipping into the low 70s.
Then we turn drier and hotter for much of the week with only isolated afternoon showers and storms with high temps reaching into the low to mid 90s each afternoon.
In the tropics, there are no areas of immediate concern for now. Updates can always be found in Talking the Tropics with Mike Buresh.
Not as much coverage of rain and storms this week. Still in the lower to mid 90s. #FirstAlertWX pic.twitter.com/wu3fM9OFly
