Jacksonville, Fl — A 26-year-old man was hit and killed by a vehicle across from Lone Star Elementary School early this morning.
JSO received a call around 2:40 am from someone who saw the body. It was not clear when the person was hit, or what vehicle may have been involved.
According to police, this is the 49th pedestrian fatality of 2021, and the 199th traffic fatality in Jacksonville.

UPDATE from @JSOPIO on deadly crash in Arlington - someone was hit & killed on Lone Star Rd. near Lone Star Elem. The driver did not stop. Anyone w/ info is asked to call police. As for Lone Star Rd. it is open but police are on scene. You can use Monument instead @ActionNewsJax
