Jacksonville — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a deadly hit and run accident.
Police arrested James Taylor in connection to the accident. According to JSO, Taylor hit 28-year old Dontai Locklear Saturday night near San Juan Avenue.
Locklear was taken to the hospital where he died. The driver left the scene.
Police reviewed surveillance video at a store near the crash. Taylor was spotted on the video leaving the scene. As police were reviewing the video Taylor entered the store in the same outfit he had on in the video.
Taylor was arrested and admitted to his involvement in the crash.
He’s charged with Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash Involving Death and Driving While License Suspended Causing Death.
