ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A 19-year-old man from Orange Park has life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run crash in Clay County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Blanding Boulevard near Parkwood Drive on Thursday night.

The crash report states a 28-year-old driving a car failed to yield while trying to turn left onto Parkwood Drive. The car hit the front of the victim’s motorcycle.

FHP said the driver fled the scene on foot after hitting the motorcycle. He was later found by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was arrested by FHP for multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries and driving without a license.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
