Jacksonville, FL — One suspect is in custody following a deadly shooting in Arlington, not far from Jacksonville University.
Jacksonville Police say they got a call around 3:00 a.m. about an argument on Bourbon Alley, at the University Townhomes. When they arrived, officers found a 26-year-old black man dead in an alleyway.
"The shooter has been taken into custody and is being questioned at the police memorial building by detectives at this time", said Mike Silcox with the JSO Homicide unit. A witness was also detained and was being interviewed.
Detectives were seeking additional witnesses, and had hoped to enter an apartment near the alleway where the victim was shot.
